Is there transportation to and from the harbour from the residence?

Yes, there will be a shuttle running in the mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 and in the evenings from 4:30 to 5:30.

Is there parking available?

There is a parking lot located behind the building. Parking passes will be available for purchase from the front desk. There is also free parking available on Collingwood St., two blocks over, until 10:00 am.

Is alcohol permitted in the residence rooms?

No alcohol is permitted anywhere in the residence building.

Where is the closest ATM?

There is an ATM located on the main floor of Victoria Hall. There are also vending machines located on the main floor for drinks and snacks.

Are there phones in the residence rooms?

There are phones available in the residence rooms to make outgoing calls. They do not receive incoming calls. Calling cards for long distance calls can be purchased on the main floor of Victoria Hall.

What times am I able to check in?

The front desk is open 24 hours a day, so you may check in whenever.

Is there internet in the residence?

Wireless internet is available on the main floor of Victoria Hall. Internet is available in the residence rooms, however an Ethernet cord must be brought with you to access it.

What happens if I lose my keys?

Keys are the responsibility of the holders, and a $75 charge will be applied for lost keys.

Is there common rooms in the building?

There are common rooms located on each floor of the building, and a big common room with wireless internet is located on the main floor of the building. There is an additional common area that will be open during select hours in the basement, that has foosball, a pingpong table and TVs.

Do I need a Canadian approved lifejacket?

Visitors to Canada may bring their own lifejacket to use as long as it fits and it conforms to the laws of their home country and in accord with Class Rules. Canadian sailors are required to wear Canadian approved lifejackets. Coaches, sailors, and anyone else planning on going on-water should bring their own lifejackets.

Do I need to bring my own linens and bathing towels?

Queen’s University event services have a towel service in which they will provide you with linens and towels. Every other day someone will replace the towels and supplies, as well as clean the room. However, bringing a towel for swimming and/or use after sailing would be advised.

Is there laundry available in the residence building?

There is laundry available in the basement of the building. Laundry cards can be purchased at the front desk. Please bring your own detergent (it can be purchased at local grocery stores).

Where is the closest drug store?

Peter’s Drug Store is next door to the venue, on the corner of Yonge Street and King Street.

Where is the closest post office?

There is a post office located in Peter’s Drugs, on the corner of Yonge Street and King Street, next to the venue.

Is there a lost and found?

The lost and found will be located in the CORK office for the duration of the event.

What are the meal times?

Breakfast will be served 7:30 to 8:30 and dinner 18:00 to 19:00 daily.
